Mack Geiger’s huge year continues to get even bigger, with the Queensland native making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry to a standing ovation.
Geiger announced his debut just a few weeks ago, with his appearance taking place as part of the venue’s ongoing OPRY 100 celebrations, marking a massive career moment for one of the fast rising singer songwriters to come out of Australia, whose blend of neo traditional country storytelling and modern production has quickly started turning heads both in Australia and overseas.
“Dreams do come true,” Geiger said upon learning of his appearance. “I struggle to put into words what this means to me, to stand in the same place my heroes have before me.
“Thank you to the Grand Ole Opry for this opportunity and letting this Aussie into the big house.”
Appearing on Tuesday, June 23rd, Geiger stepped into the famed circle for the first time to deliver standout performances of Hole In The Wall and String By which left the packed Opry House crowd on its feet as they applauded his work.
“A dream came true tonight,” he wrote on Instagram later. “No words, except thankyou @opry thankyou.”
It’s the latest achievement in a rapidly-filling resumé for the Mount Larcom, who released his debut singles just last year, having signed with Brisbane’s Goldspur Entertainment in late 2024. Since then, it’s been a massive ride to the top for Geiger, who has eagerly let his unique brand of Aussie storytelling receive a warm reception on international shores.

"Country music for people in regional Queensland is about telling our story," he told The Music this year. "My music leans into that traditional side. A lot of heartbreak songs, sure, but I definitely have a bunch of upbeat ones to dance around to. A few about Aussie living and cattle, too."
In March, Geiger announced his signing with Records Nashville/Columbia Records, before recently launching his debut US headline run, drawing enthusiastic crowds throughout Oklahoma and Texas, and stellar sold-out performances in Houston and San Antonio.
