Opening with some gentle drums, slide guitar and a didgeridoo, Voice From The Heart is an inspiring new song from John Williamson – and that’s before the beautiful acoustic guitar riff comes in.

The True Blue singer and ARIA Hall Of Fame recipient has lent his voice to the Aboriginal Voice To Parliament Referendum, saying yes to change and progress with two new songs: Voice From The Heart and Uluru Forever. You can listen to both tracks below.

Where Voice From The Heart is entirely instrumental, on Uluru Forever, Williamson proudly sings that he connects with Indigenous Australians: “I’m a white fella, don’t hate me for it / I love this land; I just adore it”. Williamson goes on to sing that Australia is a part of who he is, he pays no homage to the crown, and declares that it’s a “perfect time for a brand new start” as people “gather together”.

Uluru Forever is a rallying, uniting statement for all Australians to “feel the power of Mother Earth” alongside a harmonica, digeridoo and guitars.

Working with session musician and co- producer Lindsay Waddington on Voice From The Heart, Williamson came up with something special to evoke the spirit of Australia and flow into Uluru Forever’s themes of sharing a lifelong connection to the country and Indigenous Australians.

“Ever since I walked around Uluru in the mid 80s, it’s power has stayed with me as the true heart of our nation,” Williamson said about Uluru Forever in a statement.
