Megan MoroneyNashville-based country star Megan Moroney is returning to Australia in May 2027. Today, she’s announced the expansion of her Cloud 9 Tour—which touches down in Australian arenas.
The Tennessee Orange hitmaker made her mark on her previous Australian visit, having headlined last year’s edition of Ridin’ Hearts Festival. One of country music’s hottest stars, Moroney is in demand in Australia, with her 2025 Brisbane headline show selling out in minutes.
This time, fans will have more opportunity to witness Moroney at the height of her powers.
The Cloud 9 Tour begins at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, 8 May. It continues at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena (formerly known as Qudos Bank Arena) on Tuesday, 11 May, and concludes at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday, 14 May.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, 8 September, at 11 am local time, followed by the general sale on Wednesday, 9 September, at 12 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.
Moroney returns to Australia following the release of her third album, Cloud 9, released in February this year. Upon its release, she nabbed her first-ever #1 on the Billboard 200, amassing her biggest debut week in sales. In Australia, Cloud 9 debuted at #20 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
With Cloud 9, the self-proclaimed emo cowgirl won the Album of the Year at this year’s American Music Awards. The record features the singles 6 Months Later, Beautiful Things, and Wish I Didn’t, and includes appearances from global superstars Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves.
For her upcoming return to Australia, Moroney will be joined by fellow Nashville native Laci Kaye Booth on all dates.
Last in Australia as the special guest on Morgan Evans’ national tour, Booth rose to prominence with her debut album, The Loneliest Girl in the World, released in 2024. Last year, she followed up the record with Luck of the Draw.
Over the last year, Booth has been busy touring, making her Grand Ole Opry debut, and sharing the stage with Moroney, Parker McCollum, and Ella Langley. Her third album, Ain’t for the Faint of Heart, drops on Friday, 18 September.
