Rising Queensland country musician Mack Geiger has added another impressive notch to his belt, inking a fresh deal with Records Nashville/Columbia Records.

Fresh off the back of an impressive appearance at CMC Rocks, Geiger says he’s eager to hit the ground running following this new achievement.

“I’m excited and blessed for the opportunity to partner with the Records Nashville and Columbia teams and ready to get to work,” he said in a statement.

“We are very excited to welcome the talented Australian country singer/songwriter Mack Geiger to the Records Nashville family,” added Records Nashville’s Executive Vice President, A&R, Joe Fisher.

“Mack’s distinct sound and terrific live performances have already earned him an incredible streaming presence globally and positioned him as a promising new voice in the modern country scene, and we are excited to work with Mack as he further expands his fanbase and influence in the US.”

Geiger’s rise has been a swift and memorable one. 2024 served as as his breakout year, with wins in the prestigious Ekka Country Music Showdown and Maleny Country Stars competition, and even shared a stage with names like Dylan Wright and Tyla Rodrigues.

Following a signing to Brisbane’s Goldspur Entertainment to cap off the year, Geiger went head-first into 2025 by sharing his first two singles, including About Time, and October’s String By.

The latter proved to be his breakthrough, amassing more than 20 million streams, hitting No. 3 on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart, and even reaching No. 50 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart.

Speaking to Country Town recently, Geiger said he’s eager to use these American in-roads (half of the streams to String By are from Texas, apparently) to build his profile overseas and increase the presence of Australian country in the USA.

"I just can't wait to get over there and give back to them and put on a show," Geiger says. "I want to open the door for Australian country music to be as big as American country. Really break down that gap. We have the talent.

“There’s a little bit of a wall we need to break down, and I’m willing to do that while holding onto my Australian values."

Geiger has already got some big plans for the year, with support slots for Warren Zeiders and Drake Milligan on the way, and some new music set to arrive soon.
