Drake Milligan Announces Australian Tour Dates

The rising US country star is returning down under for his first-ever Australian headline tour dates, with local favourite Mack Geiger along for the ride.

Drake Milligan is officially heading back to Australia. The US country artist will return in July 2026 for his Tumbleweed World Tour, playing debut headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney alongside a festival appearance in Queensland.

The run marks Milligan’s first standalone Australian headline dates, following his well-received appearance at CMC Rocks QLD in 2024. Fans in Melbourne can catch him at the Corner Hotel on Wednesday 8 July, followed by Liberty Hall in Sydney on Thursday 9 July. He’ll then head north to headline Lasso Country Music Festival in Eagleby, QLD on Saturday 11 July.

Known for blending classic country with early rock ’n’ roll energy, Milligan has built a reputation as a modern traditionalist with serious stage presence. Influenced by legends like George Strait and Elvis Presley, Milligan returns to Australia riding the momentum of his new album Tumbleweed, a confident follow-up to his 2022 debut Dallas/Fort Worth.

In 2024, Milligan scored a #1 Canadian Country Radio hit with Honky Tonkin’ About alongside The Reklaws and released the Jukebox Songs EP, with I Got A Problem reaching #1 on Australian Country Radio. Now boasting more than 255 million global streams, he’s taking Tumbleweed on the road worldwide before bringing the tour to Australian audiences.

Joining him in Melbourne and Sydney is Queensland artist Mack Geiger. Raised on cattle stations in Central Queensland, Geiger’s raw, 90s inspired country sound has quickly earned him attention.

His debut single About Time cracked the Countrytown Hot 50, Australia’s Official Country Airplay Chart, in 2024, while his recent track String By has surged across global streaming and Shazam charts. With appearances locked in at major country festivals and CMC Rocks QLD 2026, Geiger is fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting new country voices.
