Megan Moroney Adds Extra Show To 2027 Australian Tour

Demand to see global country music sensation Megan Moroney is extraordinary.

Last week, the Tennessee Orange hitmaker announced her upcoming return to Australia –her first time in Australian arenas, no less. Some might have looked at her tour itinerary of arena shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane and felt some trepidation. Now, it’s clear that wasn’t necessary.

Today, tour promoters Frontier Touring have added an extra show to Moroney’s tour schedule: a second show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 15 May.

With the new show added, Moroney’s Cloud 9 Tour launches at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, 8 May. It continues at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on Tuesday, 11 May, and concludes with two nights at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday, 14 May, and the just-added date of Saturday, 15 May.

The extra show announcement arrives before the general sale opens at midday today; clearly, demand has been high for pre-sale tickets since the tour was announced last week.

Moroney returns to Australia following her headline appearances at last year’s Ridin’ Hearts Festival and a Brisbane sideshow, which sold out in a matter of minutes. She’s touring in support of her third album, Cloud 9, released in February of this year.

Upon its release, Cloud 9 debuted at #20 on the ARIA Albums Chart and #2 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart. Featuring the singles Beautiful Things, 6 Months Later, and Medicine, plus collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves, the album is another hit for Moroney.

For the upcoming run, Moroney will be joined by singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth, who’s experiencing a bold new chapter of her career with the upcoming release of her album, Ain’t for the Faint of Heart, dropping later this month.
