Australian country artist Mack Geiger is officially headed to country music’s most iconic stage, with the rising star announcing he will make his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on June 23.
The performance will take place as part of the venue’s ongoing OPRY 100 celebrations, marking a massive career moment for one of the fast rising singer songwriters to come out of Australia, whose blend of neo-traditional country storytelling and modern production has quickly started turning heads both in Australia and overseas.
For Geiger, the announcement clearly means everything.
“Dreams do come true. So honoured to announce I’ll be walking into the Opry Circle on the 23 June to debut at the Grand Ole Opry. I struggle to put into words what this means to me, to stand in the same place my heroes have before me.
Thank you to the Grand Ole Opry for this opportunity and letting this Aussie into the big house.
Praise God.
See yas in Tennessee real soon”
Fellow Aussie country stars were quick to comment on the post this morning with Denvah saying “Absolutely incredible!!! Congratulations Mack”, Kaylee Bell added “So awesome Mack!!! Huge” before Austin Mackay summed up what we are all thinking with “this is next level”

The Grand Ole Opry remains one of the most respected institutions in country music, with nearly every major artist in the genre having stepped into the famous circle at some point in their career. For Australian artists especially, an Opry debut is rare and another sign that Nashville is increasingly paying attention to the next wave of Australian country talent.
Geiger’s Opry debut comes at a huge moment personally and professionally, with his debut EP Walk A Straight Line arriving this Friday, May 29.
At this stage, bluegrass-country family group The Isaacs are among the other artists already announced for the June 23 Opry lineup, with more performers expected to be revealed closer to the date.
For Geiger, though, simply stepping into that circle will likely be the moment that changes everything.
