Camden is getting ready to go full country mode again, with Boots n’ Beats returning this June with a stacked lineup of country talent, local food vendors, craft drinks and family-friendly entertainment.

Leading the charge for the 2026 event is James Johnston, who will headline the festival at Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park on Saturday June 13.

Johnston has become one of the biggest names in contemporary Australian country music over the past few years, breaking records as the first independent Australian country artist to earn an ARIA Platinum single with RAISED LIKE THAT. Since then, he’s picked up multiple Golden Guitar wins, millions of streams and a chart-topping debut album, while his sophomore record was recently named the top-selling Australian country album on the 2025 ARIA Charts.

Ahead of the festival, Johnston said he was ready to bring the energy to Camden.

“I’m so excited to come and play Boots n’ Beats Festival this June,” he said.

“I can’t wait to hit the stage, turn it up, and share a huge night of music with you all in Camden. Let’s go!”

Set against Camden’s country backdrop, Boots n’ Beats has quickly become one of the region’s biggest annual music events, pulling crowds from across Sydney for a full day of live music, food, drinks and entertainment.

Camden Mayor Therese Fedeli said this year’s event was shaping up to be one of the festival’s strongest yet.

“This event is such a big and exciting one for our community, and so many people who come from right across Sydney to be part of the action,” she said.

“Boots n’ Beats is all about getting good people together to enjoy good music, good food and a good time. James fits that bill perfectly and I know he’ll create an incredible atmosphere.

“I can’t wait to see everyone at the event having a great time!”

The festival won’t just be about the music either. More than 40 food, drink and product stalls will be spread across the grounds, with everything from woodfired pizza and barbecue meats to dumplings, donuts, charcuterie and ice cream on offer.

Food vendors confirmed for the event include Cholito Empanadas, Yummy Time Dumpling, That’s Amore Italian Woodfire Pizza, The King and His Q, Lush Berries, Mr Puff Loukomades, G-Free Donuts, Old School Ice Cream, Le Petit Fromage and Artisan Delish Salami. Serving Up Country will also be onsite selling apparel.

Alongside country-style food and drinks, festivalgoers can expect local craft beers and ciders, amusements and kids’ entertainment and activities.

Mayor Fedeli said organisers had focused heavily on creating an experience that felt welcoming for everyone - whether they’re diehard country fans or just looking for a fun day out.

The 2026 lineup also puts a strong spotlight on emerging Australian country talent, with local and rising artists joining Johnston across the day.

Among them is Camden local Carly Mozsny, emerging singer-songwriter Hayden Phillis, Sydney South-West performer Jamie Preston and sibling country-pop duo Mak and Shar.

Former The Voice contestant Ronnie Joudo will also perform, alongside returning local favourite Tori Darke, who previously appeared at the festival in 2022 before later competing on The Voice herself.

Tickets for Boots n’ Beats are on sale now via Boots n’ Beats.
