Jelly RollBoth Jelly Roll and Bailey Zimmerman have respectively announced to fans that they’ll be taking a break from the live stage for some time.
Jelly Roll was the first to announce his news, sharing his plans with fans while onstage in Salt Lake City last week.
"This has truly been a lifetime experience for me," Jelly Roll told the crowd, referring to his status as an opener on Post Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour. "In a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.
“I’m fixing to take some time off and heal,” he added. “I love you all so much. Thank you for the opportunity.”
Specifics were not made in regard to Jelly Roll’s plans, but his news comes weeks after news of his divorce from Bunnie Xo was made public. The singer addressed the split during a live show on June 18th, informing fans that Bunnie remains his “best friend” and he still loves her despite the fact they’re getting a divorce.
“Me and my wife are best friends; we will always be best friends,” he explained to the crowds. “I love her. She will probably be the only woman I’ll ever love the way I loved her.”
“Nobody cheated on nobody; she just did a whole podcast about it,” he added, referencing Bunnie’s recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. “You can go watch it, every word of it is the truth.”

Meanwhile, Bailey Zimmerman took to social media late last week to inform his fans that he would also be absent from the stage, revealing he was cancelling his forthcoming shows for Europe and the UK.
“This was not an easy decision and it kills me to have to cancel because I know how excited everyone is,” Zimmerman began, “but right now I need to take this time to focus on important family matters. Everything is okay, it's just my family needs my attention and that's what l've gotta do.”
Zimmerman told his fans that he would still performing his previously-scheduled August shows in North America, though his overseas dates – which were planned to launch in late August and wrap in mid-September – have been nixed.
It’s unclear, however, whether his September North American dates, or his Australian shows in October, will go ahead as planned.
“I will still be playing my shows in North America in August, but after that I will be taking some more time to focus on me, my family, and new music. Once again I'm so sorry to everybody that has waited so long... I hope y'all can understand that my family has to come first.
“Thank you for having my back on this crazy ride we call life.”
Zimmerman’s announcement comes following a May incident in which he was reported to have trashed a New Mexico hotel room after drinking to excess, resulting in USD $16,000 in damages.
While police had initially sought to press charges for the incident, the case was dismissed after "Bailey took immediate responsibility for his mistake," his lawyer explained.
Zimmerman is currently scheduled to perform in Australia later this year, where he has been listed as one of the international headliners of the Strummingbird festival alongside Post Malone, Stella Lefty, and more.
Two headline dates for Melbourne and Sydney are also planned, however, it remains to be seen whether this recent announcement will affect his forthcoming visit.
