Bailey ZimmermanBailey Zimmerman will not be facing charges following an alleged incident last month in which he is said to have trashed a US hotel room.
Reports emerged this week that police in Albuquerque, New Mexico were seeking to charge Zimmerman with a felony charge for “criminal damage to property” and a misdemeanour charges of “falsely obtaining services”.
The charges in question relates to an incident which alleged allegedly took place at Albuquerque’s Sandia Resort and Casino on May 27th. Authorities have reportedly claimed that Zimmerman trashed the hotel room after drinking to excess, resulting in USD $16,000 in damages, his being escorted off the premises by local law enforcement, and the ultimate cancellation of the evening’s performance.
However, New Mexico news outlet KQRE has reported that Zimmerman will no longer be facing charges, with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office stating that the case has been dismissed after full restitution was made.
“Charges were dropped after Bailey took immediate responsibility for his mistake,” Zimmerman’s lawyer told the outlet. “We are grateful to the Pueblo of Sandia and the District Attorney’s Office for this just and swift resolution.”

The update comes just after Zimmerman issued an apology to everyone involved in the alleged incident – ranging from his fans, to those at the Sandia Resort & Casino.
“I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful,” his apology read in part, “I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired. I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land.
“I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected.”
At the time of the incident, Zimmerman took to social media to announce the cancellation of the May 27th and May 30th performances, writing: “I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I am not able to give you all the show you deserve.”
Zimmerman is currently scheduled to perform in Australia later this year, where he has been listed as one of the international headliners of the Strummingbird festival alongside Post Malone, Stella Lefty, and more.
Two headline dates for Melbourne and Sydney are also planned, and with no charges filed, it seems unlikely this recent incident will affect his touring plans.
