CMC Rocks QLD has announced two new artists joining the 2026 festival lineup after Canadian country star Josh Ross revealed he can no longer appear due to a major career milestone that will take him away from Australia. Ross’ absence opens the door for George Birge and TheWesternGuide, giving festival fans a taste of both rising US talent and international flavour at next year’s event.

Birge is one of country music’s most talked about rising stars. The Texan singer-songwriter has already scored notable success in the USA, including a Billboard Country Airplay #1 with Cowboy Songs. Birge’s breakout hit Mind On You has built him a dedicated audience, and he’s spent recent years touring with big names while developing his own live show.

Joining him is TheWesternGuide, the stage name of Samoan-New Zealand artist Aaron Pulemagafa, who brings a unique voice to the country scene. Growing up in West Auckland singing in church and listening to classic country influences, Pulvermagafa has carved out a niche that bridges his Pacific roots with contemporary country vibes. His music blends emotional storytelling with broad appeal, and he’s been gaining attention with tracks that showcase his depth and charisma.

The additions of Birge and TheWesternGuide build on an already strong CMC Rocks QLD 2026 lineup. Headlined by international stars Jordan Davis, Old Dominion and Riley Green taking place from March 20th to 22nd at Willowbank Raceway.

Tickets are already on sale through the CMC Rocks QLD official site.

Stay tuned for full set times as the festival nears.
