Morgan Wallen has confirmed that a duet with a female artist will feature on his upcoming album, I’m The Problem.

While he’s participated in collaborations with ERNEST, Hardy, Post Malone, and Eric Church (among others), a female singer hasn’t yet featured on one of Wallen’s albums. That’s about to change.

The Thought You Should Know singer teased the development on X (formerly known as Twitter) when he responded to a fan, who wrote: “Morgan Wallen please please PLEASE confirm “What I Want” is a duet. You haven’t yet sang with any female artists on any of your first three albums, so PLEASE tell me this is the case.”

Wallen quote-shared the post and simply wrote, “Indeed sir.”

Since Wallen made that post yesterday (10 April), fans have gone wild guessing who the guest vocalist might be, throwing out names including Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, H.E.R., Carly Pearce, Miley Cyrus, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, and even Taylor Swift.

Apparently, all of those guesses are wrong. Wallen took to his Instagram Stories eight hours ago and wrote alongside a photo of himself playing golf, “I haven’t seen one person guess the female collab on this album correctly yet.”

Stay tuned to find out who the mystery woman is when the album is released on Friday, 16 May, via Big Loud, Republic Records, and Mercury Records.

I’m The Problem is set to feature an incredible 37 tracks, including the teased Come Back As A Redneck and the already-released title track, Lies Lies Lies, Love Somebody, Smile, I’m A Little Crazy, and Just In Case.

Wallen said of the forthcoming album, “I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that, but there are other sides to me as well.

“I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”
