Countrytown’s #1 most-played artist of 2025, Max McNown, is heading to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s upcoming tour arrives alongside the preview of his highly anticipated forthcoming album, Leave on a Light, dropping next Friday (25 September) via Fugitive Recordings.

McNown’s return to the region follows his meteoric rise, which has seen him amass more than 900 million streams globally and score multiple RIAA certifications, plus a previously sold-out Australian tour. He returns to the country in February 2027 for his biggest headline run to date.

The tour begins at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Tuesday, 2 February. It continues at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, 4 February, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Saturday, 6 February, and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, 10 February.

Following the Sydney date, McNown appears at Newcastle’s Howlin’ Rock N Rodeo Festival on Saturday, 13 February. He continues the tour at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday, 18 February, and Cairns’ Fred Moule Pavilion on Saturday, 20 February.

McNown concludes the run in New Zealand, performing at Auckland’s The Civic on Monday, 22 February, and Christchurch Town Hall on Wednesday, 24 February.

Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets via the artist pre-sale on Wednesday, 16 September, at 11 am local time, followed by the Mastercard cardholders’ pre-sale and My Live Nation members pre-sale on Wednesday, 16 September, and Thursday, 11 September, respectively, both at 11 am local time.

The general sale opens on Friday, 18 September, at 12 pm local time – head to the Live Nation Australia and New Zealand websites for more ticketing information.

McNown is riding the momentum of new singles First Born Daughter, Comets, and Take Me Back, the latter a collaboration with DJ Kygo.

In other news, the rising star made his Stagecoach debut this year, performed at Lollapalooza, sold out two consecutive nights at the Ryman Auditorium, embarked on headline tours across multiple continents, and shared the stage with Parker McCollum.

“In a way, most of the songs on this album are love songs,” McNown said of his forthcoming album. “They’re a tribute to my wife and my family, the people who care about who I am outside of music and give me a place of peace and unconditional love to come home to.”
