Morgan Wallen’s forthcoming album, I’m The Problem, is only a little over a month away, and despite already releasing five singles, the country star is teasing the next one.
Signalling his return to a more upbeat sound after a string of slower tracks, Wallen has shared a snippet of the new song, Come Back As A Redneck, captioning the post with a line from the song: “Maybe then you’ll understand.”
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday (31 March), Wallen can be seen shooting a rifle at a shooting range and riding a motorbike and a four-wheeler through the open space.
As for the song’s lyrics, Wallen compares city living to country life, singing, “I didn’t choose my raisin’, and you didn’t choose yours,” later crooning, “When you die, I hope you come back as a redneck… I hope you break your back for that barely-gettin’-by paycheck… maybe then you’ll understand.”
