Just one week after Coachella wrapped for another year, the festival’s country sibling event, Stagecoach, has been happening over the weekend.
American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey was billed high up on the line-up this year, as she plans to release a country album this year. Originally titled Lasso and later The Right Person Will Stay, she recently announced the release of the album had been delayed, and the title had changed once more.
So far, Del Rey has shared two singles from the album, the country-inspired tracks Henry, Come On, and Bluebird. And on Friday (25 April), during her highly anticipated Stagecoach set, she premiered an unreleased song called 57.5, in which she revealed she kissed Morgan Wallen—and threw some shade at the country star.
The song reportedly refers to Del Rey having 57.5 listeners on Spotify, but at the time of publication, she has over 61 million listeners on the streaming service.
Directly addressing the audience, Del Rey said before introducing the line about Morgan Wallen: “This is the last time I’m ever going to say this line.”
Then, she sang:

I kissed Morgan Wallen
I guess kissing me kind of went to his head
If you want my secret to success
I suggest don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west.

Del Rey apparently also made a reference to her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, in the song.
Earlier in 57.5, Del Rey sang, “I ain’t got a man, but baby one of them is a fan of mine.” In the last chorus, she slightly amended the lyrics, singing, “Now I got a man, he really was a fan of mine.”
Del Rey and Dufrene married in September 2024.
At the time of publication, Wallen hasn’t addressed Del Rey saying that she kissed him in the song. Morgan Wallen was not on this year’s Stagecoach line-up, with the festival securing Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs as headliners of the three-day event.
