The accident happened weeks after Brooks & Dunn took home the Vocal Duo of the Year award at this year's CMA Awards.

Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn fame had a skiing accident this week, sharing a photo of his leg wrapped in a cast on social media on Wednesday (4 December).
Dunn, in good spirits, joked about the injury by saying the duo should change the lyrics to their classic song, I Don’t Dance. He wrote: “Changing these lyrics from ‘I don’t dance with anybody but you’ to ‘I probably shouldn’t ski anymore at 72’….? 8-week vacation!!”
By the look of the photo and caption, it seems that Dunn will be just fine.
Last month, Brooks & Dunn made news when they tied with Chris Stapleton as the most winning CMA Award winners of all time, taking home the Vocal Duo of the Year award. The win followed the release of their collaborative single, New Moon, with the CMA Entertainer of the Year, Morgan Wallen.
After being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019, Brooks & Dunn proved that the achievement didn’t mark the end of their career, releasing their twelfth album, Reboot II, earlier this year.

As a follow-up to their 2019 effort, Reboot, the second collection contains re-recordings of the duo’s hits and guest appearances from Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny, HARDY, ERNEST, and more.
In Australia, the album peaked at #15 on the Country Albums chart, while it debuted at #5 on the US Top Country Albums chart.
Brooks & Dunn will perform at Morgan Wallen’s inaugural music festival, Sand In My Boots, next May. The event sold out in two hours.
The three-day music festival and beach vacation, curated and headlined by Wallen, will debut on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, from 16 to 18 May 2025. Wallen will co-headline the festival alongside Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and HARDY.
Other acts on the bill include Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, T-Pain, Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, The War On Drugs, 2 Chainz, Chase Rice, 3 Doors Down, ERNEST, Future Islands, Nate Smith, Treaty Oak Revival, Ella Langley, Morgan Wade, Lauren Watkins, and more. All acts on the bill were handpicked from Wallen’s personal playlist.
