Melita Hodge, the founder and co-owner of artist management company Six Boroughs Management, has been announced as the recipient of this year’s Association of Artist Managers (AAM) Awards Legacy Award.

Hodge guides the careers of country stars such as Kasey Chambers, Andy Golledge, and Denvah. Plus, with her Six Boroughs partner Andy Bryan, she oversees the roster, including Ball Park Music, BOY SODA, Northeast Party House, and Ruby Jackson. Outside of music, Hodge manages chefs and television personalities, Adam Liaw and Analiese Gregory.

Over the last 25 years, Hodge has managed the career of Kasey Chambers—one of Australia’s most enduring, influential artists.

She’s been there as Chambers has released 13 albums, topped the ARIA Charts five times, won 15 ARIA Awards, and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2018. Additionally, she’s overseen Chambers’ career, as she’s won 27 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards, the Roll of Renown honour, and 10 APRA Awards.

“Managing people in the creative landscape for over 25 years has afforded me extraordinary experiences, opportunities and relationships,” Hodge said following her Legacy Award win. “This business, for me, is about trust and partnership and a driving desire to see artists achieve their creative goals.”

She continued, “I’m enormously proud of our management company, the long-term successes and creative journeys I’ve been a part of. To be recognised in this manner by the AAM in receiving the Legacy Award for 2026 is an absolute honour.”

The Legacy Award – presented by Frontier Touring – honours an individual whose achievements in artist management significantly impact the Australian music industry. Like Hodge and the winners before her, the award goes to individuals with a bold vision, dedication, and influence.

Last February, John Watson was named the 2025 recipient of the Legacy Award. His career has included representing Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, Missy Higgins, and many others. Other winners include Jodie Regan (Tame Impala, Pond), Michael McMartin (Hoodoo Gurus), and Correne Wilkie (The Cat Empire).

While the Legacy Award winner has already been announced, the remainder of the AAM Awards recipients will be revealed during an invite-only ceremony at Sydney’s Crowbar on Wednesday, 29 April.

Entries for the 2026 AAM Awards close on Tuesday, 3 March, at 11:59 pm AEDT – head to the AAM Awards website to find more details and enter. Additionally, the APRA AMCOS Lighthouse Award will be presented at this year’s awards ceremony. Applications close on Monday, 23 March. More information about applying can be found here.
