Savannah in the Round 2025 has officially set a new benchmark drawing more than 32,000 attendees across four massive days in the Far North Queensland town of Mareeba.
The festival delivered its biggest festival yet, capped off by a world class Saturday night headline set by Grammy winning powerhouse Zac Brown Band.
The opening night’s Campers Concert and Great Northern Bullriding Series drew around 5,000 early birds to the site and that crowd carried through to a jam-packed Saturday arena crowd of over 10,000 for Zac Brown Band; the atmosphere throughout the weekend was electric.
The campground sold out well ahead of the event, and the mass demand meant for the campsite were extended and overflow campers spilled into the Mareeba International Club, which is just down the road, and once again demonstrated the intense growing demand for the full Savannah In The Round experience.

“This has been a phenomenal year,” said Festival Director James Dein. “Zac Brown Band is a global act and was just phenomenal. We’ve seen attendance increase across every single day, and it’s been fantastic to watch the festival grow.”
Spread across four stages, the 2025 program featured over 60 artists, spanning multiple genres like country, blues, rock, folk, and pop. Highlights included James Johnston, Kasey Chambers, Jackson Dean (USA), Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows, Amy Sheppard, and Fanny Lumsden all of which showcase a dynamic mix of Australian and international talent.
“It’s what makes Savannah unique,” Dein added. “People love being able to curate their own festival experience, with great music, great food, markets, workshops, kids’ activities, and art. It’s a true family-friendly event.”
Dein also singled out the Thursday night campers’ concert as a standout moment. “There’s been no trouble, just people having a really good time. It’s been a fantastic four days from start to finish.”
With Savannah in the Round 2026 already in the works, Dein has been teasing that a new lineup announcement is just around the corner, and will feature both major Australian and international acts.
“We’re close to signing off our next international headliners,” he confirmed. “With some massive Australian and overseas acts to come.”
Stay tuned for further announcements about the 2026 festival.
