After having worked with the likes of Marshmello, Lauren Alaina, Khalid, his wife, Katelyn Brown, and many others, he’s hyping up perhaps the biggest name to date, and certainly the biggest country link-up: Shania Twain.
Taking to Instagram, the Used To Love You Sober hitmaker confirmed that his forthcoming single, Boots, featuring Shania Twain, will be released this Friday (4 September).
Music Mayhem notes that the pair have teamed up for a fresh take on Twain’s hit, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, but told from the guy’s perspective.
Country Music News describes the collaboration as a “bold, reimagined track” that flips Twain’s melodies. It’s not exactly a remix; instead, it offers something entirely new.
In a recent interview with Elaina Smith on the Backstage Country Uncut podcast, Brown discussed his teaming up with Shania Twain.
“It’s the guy’s version,” Brown said, per Holler Country. “It’s not the same sound; it’s some of her same melodies but then a whole different thing…you’re getting a completely different new song.”
He added, “It’s originally her song; you’re gonna know Shania’s there.”

Brown is currently working on the follow-up to his 2025 album, The High Road, and has gradually released singles since then. His most recent single, Woman, became his 14th #1 on country radio in the US.
The album cut, Miles on It, a track with Marshmello, became an incredible success, reaching #1 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and #4 on the Hot Country Songs chart upon its debut.
When he’s not busy with music, Brown consistently has other creative projects up his sleeve. He’s set to make his film debut in the forthcoming movie, The Token Groomsman, sharing the screen with Taylor Lautner, Sarah Hyland, Andie McDowell, Brenton Thwaites, and more.
Kane Brown’s foray into film will arrive following his guest-starring role on CBS’s Fire Country, where he portrayed a heroic train hopper.
Along with Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown was set to co-headline the inaugural LONGHAUL Festival in the Australian cities of Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The event has since unfortunately been cancelled.
