Central Coast crooner Tori Forsyth and her partner were involved in a car accident over the weekend, with the singer expressing how shaken up she felt over Instagram in a since-deleted post.
The incident occurred when their vehicle was rear-ended by a car travelling around 80km/hr. Meanwhile, Forsyth and her partner were only travelling around 15km/hr to merge into a bottleneck in the road.
“Yesterday, Benny and I were in a car accident,” she explained on Sunday afternoon (18 August).
“I hit my head against my seat, so we spent a few hours in the hospital checking me out for head trauma. We are a bit sore today but all in all got away unscathed.
“It wasn't until we got home that it sunk in,” she reflected.
“How that could have been so much worse and we are so lucky.”

Forsyth noted that the collision could have been much more severe, expressing relief that her dog was not in the car and that she had removed her music equipment from the boot earlier in the day, potentially having lost thousands of dollars of gear if they were still in the car.
“Unfortunately, the car that has seen me across this great country is no longer, which I am pretty sad about, but it stings until I think about us both being alive, all that could have happened if X Y Z.
Forsyth continued, “I'm sharing this for a couple reasons.
1. Life is so short
2. Perspective hits hard in these times
3. Pay fucking attention when you're driving
