Fresh off a record-breaking run, Shaboozey has announced his fourth studio album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales and it’s shaping up to be his most ambitious project yet.

Dropping July 31 the album leans fully into a cinematic Wild West concept, combining western storytelling with the genre bending sound that’s made Shaboozey one of the most talked-about names in modern country.

Fans will get their first taste with the lead single Born To Die which is set for release April 24.

If his last album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going introduced the world to who he is, this one is about leveling up. “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going was a journal entry and an opportunity for the world to get to know more about me as a person,” Shaboozey said.

“That album changed my life. I never expected people to connect with the album and enjoy it the way they did. But now I want to show the world who I am as an artist and storyteller. The Outlaw Cherie Lee is a project that’s been several years in the making and has gone through many iterations. It’s a western about revenge told continuously through every song, centered on the character Cherie Lee. It explores so many themes, as many timeless westerns have: revenge, redemption, and romance, through the eyes of a protagonist looking to challenge everything she once thought true about her world. I poured all of myself into this and I hope people become as immersed in the world and the journey as I have. This album was a promise to myself and something, no matter what, I had to keep. It pushed my songwriting and storytelling to new heights, and I couldn’t be more proud to say it’s done and almost yours.”

And because Shaboozey doesn’t do things halfway, he’s taking it beyond just music. At Stagecoach Festival this year, fans will be able to step inside the album world with an immersive saloon pop-up inspired by the record, running across the festival weekend with previews, appearances and a full Wild West atmosphere.

The announcement lands off the back of a massive couple of years for the artist, including the chart-dominating A Bar Song (Tipsy), which made history across multiple Billboard formats and cemented his crossover appeal.

If this rollout is anything to go by, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales isn’t going to be just another album, it’s going to be a full universe.
