Morgan Evans is entering a new chapter - and he’s not doing it alone.

The Australian-born, Nashville-based country artist has teamed up with his partner, acclaimed US singer songwriter Laci Kaye Booth, on a new duet Two Broken Hearts. The song sees the couple sharing the mic on a stripped-back, emotionally honest track that leans into vulnerability, connection, and the quiet moments between two people who are still figuring things out.

Written by Evans alongside Fraser Churchill, Two Broken Hearts wasn’t originally planned as a duet. But once Booth’s voice entered the picture, the song found a new depth. “This song still hits me like the day I wrote it,” Evans said. “It wasn’t written as a duet, but Lace’s voice took it somewhere I couldn’t have imagined on my own.”

That chemistry is clear. The song unfolds gently, built around intertwined harmonies and lyrics that sit in the space between comfort and uncertainty. Rather than offering easy answers, it captures two people trying to heal side by side, which feels even more personal knowing the pair share a life off stage as well.

Two Broken Hearts is the latest preview of Evans’ highly anticipated sophomore album Steel Town, set for release on March 20. The album was written during a reflective period spent back in Evans’ hometown of Newcastle, Australia. That time at home helped reset his creative compass, eventually pulling him back to Nashville with a renewed focus on writing songs that connect on a deeper level.

The new record follows earlier release Beer Back Home and marks Evans’ first full length project in several years. Over his career, Evans has clocked more than one billion global streams and scored major hits with Kiss Somebody and Day Drunk, before reaching a new emotional high with the raw, viral success of Over For You.

Two Broken Hearts feels less like a feature and more like a shared moment, it feels personal and unguarded, with Evans and Booth leaning into the closeness that comes from more than just creating a song together. As Evans prepares to release Steel Town and step into his next era, this song could not have been more perfect.
