The Gympie Music Muster is back and bigger than ever, with the announcement of its 2025 Pre-Muster line-up giving four-day ticket holders even more reason to arrive early, pitch the tent, and get the party started.
Running from Saturday, August 23 to Wednesday, August 27, the Pre-Muster is an exclusive bonus for full festival pass holders, offering five full days of live music, community spirit and laid-back camping vibes before the main event officially kicks off. It's all happening at the Bundaberg Rum Crowbar, where daily performances kick off from 3pm.
This year’s Pre-Muster is a stacked lineup of country favourites and fresh talent including Taylor Moss, Josh Setterfield, Austin Mackay, Sue Ray, Dean Perrett, Cassie Leopold, Sarah Catania, Brewn, Grace Alexandra, Briana Dinsdale, Taurean Thompson, Katie Brooke, Billy Gudgeon, and Clancy Pye.
A few of these names, like Golden Guitar winner Dean Perrett and Australian Idol 2025 breakout stars Keely Ellen and Jake Whittaker, will also hit the main stages later in the week, giving those early-bird arrivals a sneak peek at the action ahead of the main muster.
Cassie Leopold, formerly of Darlinghurst, returns to the Muster as a solo artist this year and says she’s ready to soak it all in.

“It’s such a full-circle moment for me. There’s nothing quite like the Muster crowd: the energy, the heart, the way everyone leans into the music and the fun - it’s iconic,” she said.
“Getting the chance to kick things off at the Pre-Muster is a real honour. I’ve got new songs to share, stories to tell, and a whole new chapter I can’t wait to bring to life on that stage.”
Singer-songwriter Austin Mackay echoed the hype, calling the Muster “bloody incredible.”
“The sense of community, the music, the country spirit, it’s really like nothing else,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to playing the Pre-Muster this year and being part of that build-up energy. It’s such a special event on the Aussie country music calendar, and I can’t wait to get back amongst it!”
Campers can expect a daily shuttle service, connecting the campground with the main precinct and all amenities. With festival buzz already building, the Pre-Muster offers an extra dose of music, mateship and memory-making in true Muster style.
