Also announced as performers are Carrie Underwood, Jon Batiste, H.E.R., Nas, and a special In Memoriam performance featuring songs of Stephen Sondheim by GRAMMY winner Cynthia Erivo, current nominee Leslie Odom Jr., current nominee Ben Platt, and Rachel Zegler.
Hosted by The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, the newly announced artists join previously announced performers Brothers Osborne, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, and Olivia Rodrigo.
"Trevor was amazing as our host for the 63rd GRAMMY Awards with praise from the music community, music fans and critics," Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said in a statement. "We're so excited to welcome Trevor back to the GRAMMYs stage and feel fortunate to once again have him hosting what we believe will be an unforgettable evening."
The nominations for the 2022 ceremony were announced in November 2021 and span across 86 diverse categories, which include two new awards this year.
Stapleton has three nods including ‘Best Country Album’ (Starting Over), ‘Best Country Solo Performance’ (You Should Probably Leave) and ‘Best Country Song’ (Cold).
