Two of Australia’s growing country artists, Tori Darke and Jay Santilli, have joined forces for a fun new track called Trouble. The music video is exclusively premiering on Countrytown today.
In the video, directed by Jake Davey, Darke and Santilli enjoy the sunshine, drinks and live music as they “keep it country” in a local bar. The sassy, exciting track is pop-country joy, showcasing the pair’s excellent harmonies and just how well their voices match up.
With Santilli’s raspier tone and Darke’s brighter vocal, the duo find trouble while line dancing and encouraging all the people in the bar to drink and sing Country Roads with them.
It’s a bright and colourful video that calls to real-life nights of partying and making friends in bars, but with a country twist. As Darke puts it: “I have one word for the Trouble music video, and that is FUN.”
You can watch the music video below.
Santilli said of the fun, collaborative track, “It’s all about those nights when you just need to let loose, have fun, and shake off the stress of life with your best friends. It’s a song made for dancing, singing loud, and making memories.”

Of the song’s carefree spirit, she continued, “The writing process was so natural, especially since we have been friends for nearly 15 years - we were just bouncing ideas off each other, sharing stories, and bringing that excitement to life.”
For Trouble, Darke and Santilli partnered with veteran producer duo MSquared (Kaylee Bell, James Johnston). “Recording with MSquared was a bucket list dream for me,” Darke commented.
“The guys have produced some incredible music over the years, and to be able to get into the studio with them and record/write a song with one of my best friends in music was a total pinch-me moment.”
Trouble arrives as Darke tours Australia alongside The Voice duet partner Brad Butcher, and Santilli also plays shows across the country.
