Tyler Hubbard, multi-platinum-selling artist and former member of Florida Georgia Line, has announced an Australian headline tour as part of his Strong World Tour. The tour celebrates his second album of the same name (released in April) and marks the second time Hubbard will come down under this year, following CMC Rocks in Queensland.
Excited by the reception of Strong and the energy he encountered at CMC Rocks, Hubbard promises to match the party his Australian fans will bring to the Melbourne, Sydney, and Gold Coast shows.
Hubbard said, “I feel like a lot of the new album has been resonating pretty well at the shows, and it seems like the fans are already on board and have already connected with it. A lot of them are knowing the words - it’s just an exciting season to be in. I felt all the love with my first album, and I feel it just as much, if not more, with the second album. You can feel it live too; it just means the world.”
Fans who had the pleasure of seeing Hubbard headline CMC Rocks will not have heard tracks from Strong, which was not yet released at the time. Hubbard is excited to take the album on the road with Australian rodeo cowboy and country music artist Wade Forster supporting the October shows.
“I didn’t have my second album quite yet at CMC Rocks, so I’m excited to come back with all the new music out. By that point, it will be out for about eight months or so, so I’m excited for everyone to know the music.

“I just feel like the energy is going to be building for the next six months. I’m just excited - I know fans in Australia bring a lot of energy, so they can expect a lot of energy from me and the boys. Our excitement is already building, and we are super pumped to get back to our Australian fans.”
Strong follows Hubbard’s debut self-titled 2023 solo album, with the Amercian-born artist already forging his reputation and fanbase when he was one-half of the multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line, which parted ways in 2022. Florida Georgia Line amassed 21 #1 US singles on country radio throughout the group's 12-year stint, with Hubbard's solo career poised to receive a similar trajectory.
Hubbard’s self-titled debut album, released last January, was swiftly Gold-certified and has amassed an impressive 1.33 billion global streams. Strong has enjoyed early success as well, and Hubbard says that fans can expect a mix of both albums for the tour.
“We’ll play a lot of the first album, a lot of the second album and everything in between. Should be a party.”
Hubbard continued, “I’ve already been knee-deep in a couple of shows this year with Kane Brown right now, and it's really good research.
“Being on stage every night, making minor adjustments with each show and really hone in on a perfect set to create as many moments as possible to really engage with the fans and connect with the fans. The only real way to learn how to do that is by playing shows - it’s great that we are playing loads of shows this year and able to get our set dialled in.”
He continues, “My MO is any concert that I go to, I know there is something I can learn from it. So, I literally go and try learn something from every set and show I see and being out with Kane Brown to see how he has evolved - he was opening for us back in the day.
“Now, I am getting to learn from him, and he’s teaching me little things that I really respect. I feel like being in the country music genre, in general, there is a lot of talent—even outside the genre and seeing how everybody connects with their audience in a different way. It’s a cool art, a gift.”
Hubbard looks forward to hitting Australian soil in October and is excited to have Wade Forster to support the show and get the crowds primed for the seventy-minute show.
“I was sent his [Wade Forster] music and told about him, and I love what he’s doing and was a fan of his music. I’m excited to have him on board for the shows - it’s also nice to have a local to help me and the guys feel right at home and get to know him well. It’s a really cool time for country music; it’s very dynamic and diverse. Everyone is bringing something to the genre.”
Hubbard has also been added to the Savannah In The Round bill, which will run over the long weekend of October 11-13 at the Mareeba Rodeo Arena in the Cairns Hinterland. General admission tickets for Strong World Tour Australian shows are on sale through Ticketek.
