Ella Langley & Miranda Lambert Lead 60th Annual CMA Awards Nominations

Ella Langley's massive hits 'Be Her' and 'Choosin' Texas' dominate this year's CMA Awards, with Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and Ben West also up for multiple awards.

The biggest night in country music is on its way with the nominations for the 60th annual CMA Awards being announced.

Set to take place in Nashville, Tennessee on November 18th, this year marks the 60th time that the Country Music Association Awards have been handed out, and with Lainey Wilson on the hook to host the event for the third time running, it's set to be a massive affair.

Now, the full list of nominees for this year’s event have been revealed, first during Good Morning America on ABC and then via a livestream on CMA’s official YouTube channel.

Leading the charge this year is none other than Ella Langley, who scored a massive nine nominations thanks to hits like Be Her and Choosin' Texas. She's up for Entertainer, Single, Album, Song, Female Vocalist, Musical Event, and Music Video of the Year, while she's scored two nominations in both the Single and Song of the Year categories.

Miranda Lambert follows behind with seven nominations, Alongside nods for her production work on Langley's Be Her and Choosin' Texas, and songwriting credits on the latter, she's also nabbed nominations in Female Vocalist of the Year, and two in Musical Event of the Year for her work on Chris Stapleton's A Song To Sing, and her feature on Kacey Musgraves' Horses And Divorces.

Musgraves and Ben West both feature five times in the nominations list; while Stapleton, Cody Johnson, and Stephen Wilson Jr. are up for four awards; and Dave Clauss, Luke Combs, and Lainey Wilson up for three.

This year also features 13 first-time nominees, including the likes of New Artist of the Year nominees Carter Faith and Avery Anna, but also pop producer extraordinaire Jack Antonoff, who is nomination as producer of Taylor Swift's I Knew It, I Knew You.

Additionally, Little Big Town appear in the Vocal Group category for the 21st year in a row, while Lainey Wilson could be up to make some history.While she's up for Entertainer of The Year, a win would make her the first female artist to take out the award three times.

Additionally, a win for Female Vocalist of the Year would see her become only the second artist to take out the award five times in a row. Only fellow nominee Miranda Lambert has achieved the feat previously, with Lambert also passing Reba McEntire as the artist with the most Female Vocalist of the Year nominations, with her total now up to 19.

Nominees and winners of the CMA Awards are decided by a panel of over 7,000 professional voting members of the Country Music Association, with tickets to attend the ceremony will be available from Friday, 18 September, via the CMA website.

Last week, finalists for the CMA International Awards were announced. They included musicians and industry figures from the US and abroad, with Australia’s James Johnston and Wade Forster nominated in the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award category.

Meanwhile, Justin Thomson from iHeartCountry AU has been nominated in the International Country Broadcaster Award category. Lainey Wilson is also among the nominees in the International Artist Achievement Award category.

Recipients of the CMA International Awards will be announced later this year.
