Zach Bryan’s Something In The Orange is breaking records in the US and Australia after the singer broke out with the 34-track debut album, American Heartbreak, last year.

In the US, Whiskey Riff reports that the song has become the longest-charting single by a male country artist on the Billboard Hot 100, remaining in the chart for a record-breaking 65 weeks.

He’s also catching the record for the longest-charting country song, currently in second place after beating Carrie Underwood’s Before He Cheats. Leann Rimes holds the record for the longest-charting country song with How Do I Live at 69 consecutive weeks.

In Australia, Bryan has stolen the record for a country song on the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart, with Something In The Orange spending its 46th week in the chart as of 31 July.

The song has remained at #19 for the last two weeks and has been certified triple Platinum after selling over 70,000 units.

To truly understand his dominance, know that Morgan Wallen’s Last Night, which seems to have been in the ARIA Singles Chart all year, has been in the chart for 25 weeks, while Luke CombsFast Car has been there for 17 weeks. Wallen’s You Proof has also spent 18 weeks in the chart.

Something In the Orange was a weird song because everyone thinks it was over some deep, dark thing,” Bryan said in an interview on Today's Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen upon the song’s release.

“And it was just me in a cabin in Wisconsin. And I was like, I thought about the word orange, and I was watching the sunset, and I was like, 'Oh, that's a cool story to tell in a song,' you know?”

In April, Bryan went mainstream with Something In The Orange, peaking at #15 on the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart – where you’ll find the likes of Miley CyrusEd SheeranHarry Styles and more. He was accompanied by Wallen, Combs, and Bailey Zimmerman. The single also reached #20 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart—Relisten to it below.
