Country music continues to grow in popularity with Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Zach Bryan and Bailey Zimmerman all hitting the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart – the same chart you’ll find the likes of Miley CyrusFlowers and bangers from Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and more.

Having recently headlined CMC Rocks QLD as well as selling out the Australian leg of his ‘One Night At A Time’ world tour, Wallen has two songs in the Top 50. Last Night sits at #2, while his previous single You Proof is currently at #23, having previously peaked at #20.

Last Night was also the first country song by a solo male to top the Hot 100 in over 42 years, following I Love a Rainy Night by Eddie Rabbitt (1980), and the first country song to top the chart since All Too Well (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift in November 2021. It currently sits at #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart after four consecutive weeks.

Combs has three songs on the chart. The Kind of Love We Make is at #27, after previously peaked at #21, while 5 Love Clover sits at #45 after previously peaking at #32. His cover of Tracy Chapman’s iconic 1988 top-ten single, Fast Car also makes its debut this week at #18.

“[It’s] my first favourite song probably ever. I remember listening to that song with my dad in his truck when I was probably four years old,” Combs said via press release. “He had a cassette, a tape of it, and we had this old brown camper top F-150.”

“We rode around that thing, and he had a tape cassette player in there, and I have the original cassette – my dad brought it to me a couple of years ago… I have the one, and I have it in my shop,” he continued. “The only music I have in my shop is a cassette player. I love to go to antique stores, and just you can get a bunch of cassette tapes for 50 cents, and some of the best records of all time are on cassette.”

After electric performances at CMC Rocks QLD and opening for Wallen, Zimmerman’s Rock And A Hard Place debuts at #41. The song also peaked at #7 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart. It leapt from #48 into #29 last week after sitting 36 weeks on the chart.

Meanwhile, Bryan’s Something In The Orange currently sits at #21.
