After nine long years, the Urban Country Music Festival will return to Caboolture, Queensland, later this year. You can find out who will be on the line-up in just a few weeks’ time.

The Urban Country Music Festival will return to the Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 4 October. Hosted by 121 Networks Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation that raises funds to assist women over 55 facing homelessness, the beloved event will return with a “bang.”

At the time of publication, the festival’s website hints at hosting the Stardust Talent Quest, featuring Australian country music acts and “food, beer, and ute events.”

Locals can find out who will appear on the line-up at a free launch event featuring live performances on Sunday, 9 February. Tickets will go on sale on the same day. The launch will be held at the Caboolture Country Markets, Caboolture Showgrounds. Entry to the launch event is free, and bookings aren’t required.

In addition to reviving a cultural event, a press release notes that all proceeds and funds from the Urban Country Music Festival will directly go to the Angelus Community, an organisation that provides safe and stable housing solutions for those in the Moreton Bay City region.

Gold Property Group’s Eric Whitehouse said of the event's return, “The Urban Country Music Festival will be a great opportunity for this region and we are excited to announce the event including the line up on Sunday 9 February.”

Councillor Adam Hain of the City of Moreton Division 3 shared excitement towards the festival’s ownership going to the local community.

“Caboolture is where the city meets the country and it is no mistake that we have the most successful showgrounds in South East Queensland, attached to the nationally recognised Queensland State Equestrian Centre,” Hain said. “This Event always belonged here and it is great to see the community take ownership and bring it back.”
