Savannah In The RoundSavannah In The Round returns to Mareeba, in the heart of tropical North Queensland, with the October event featuring Americans Tyler Brayden, Clayton Mullen, and Don McLean, along with Aussie legends Icehouse and so much more.
Organisers today dropped the full program so punters can start planning their days, with 20 artists added to the list, including Kingswood, Clayton Mullen (USA), Willie J’s 6V6s, Riff Raff AC/DC Show, Lontano, and so much more. But they’ve also hinted at one more “surprise”.
With sets from Lee Kernaghan, Ian Moss & Troy Cassar-Daley, The Wolfe Brothers, Mental As Anything, San Cisco, Max Jackson, and many others across four massive stages, it’s going to be tough to choose your adventure.
More rock stars, such as Chocolate Starfish, GANGgajang, Dragon, and Bachelor Girl, share the bill alongside country royalty including Wade Forster, Taylor Moss, Mackenzie May, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Rachael Fahim, Tori Darke, Australia’s favourite cover band, the Hindley Street Country Club, and more.
This year’s festival will take over multiple stages at the Mareeba Rodeo Grounds from Thursday, 8 to Sunday, 11 October. Last year’s event attracted almost 12,000 individual attendees, resulting in more than 30,000 attendees over four days.
James Dein, festival director and chief executive officer of Sound Australia, said of this year’s impressive line-up, “We believe we have assembled the strongest line-up of new and emerging Australian country artists at any festival in Australia. These are the artists fighting it out on stages across Australia right now. They are writing great songs, and building their following.”
“Savannah has always been about giving people the chance to discover those artists while also seeing some of the biggest names in the business. The program is shaping up as our biggest and most diverse yet, but we are still working behind the scenes, and we are hopeful we have got one more surprise to share before October.”
