Is country the most represented music genre at this year’s BIGSOUND?
Today (12 June), the stacked artist line-up for BIGSOUND 2025 was revealed. A music festival and industry conference event, BIGSOUND takes place annually at Brisbane’s hub for live music and entertainment, the Fortitude Valley. This year’s program will occur from Tuesday, 2 to Friday, 5 September.
Over 120 acts were announced today, and while there are plenty of artists and bands across pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, and everything in between, it’s country music that might shine the brightest.
Nine country artists are heading to Brisbane for BIGSOUND 2025. They include Tyla Rodrigues, Robbie Mortimer, Chloe Styler, Dylan Wright, Josie, Josh Setterfield, Briana Dinsdale, Michael Honan, Sweet Talk, and The Wet Whistles.
2025 was already shaping up to be an impressive year for the acts mentioned above, but by securing showcase performances for this September, BIGSOUND will mark just one of (hopefully) many must-see shows from all of them this year.

This year’s BIGSOUND Co-Programmers, Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne, said of this year’s music program: “We’re thrilled to finally share the BIGSOUND 2025 line-up with you.
“Curating this year’s program has been such a joy — the artists we’ve selected reflect the incredible depth of talent in Australia, and each one is doing truly exciting things with their music. We’re so proud of this group and can’t wait to see them bring the Fortitude Valley to life in September.”
They continued, “We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single artist who applied. We were genuinely blown away by the quality, creativity and diversity of submissions — it made the selection process incredibly tough, in the best possible way.
“There’s so much talent out there, and while we couldn’t include everyone this year, we recognise the heart you put into your music, and we’re excited for what lies ahead for you.”
