Thomas RhettThomas Rhett has received the 113th star on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, during the organisation’s 30th induction ceremony on Wednesday (8 July).
WBIR 10 News reports that fellow country star Jordan Davis introduced Rhett and highlighted the singer’s commitment and pride towards being a father and husband, with fans, industry figures and peers looking on.
“We’re all here to celebrate the star that Thomas Rhett obviously is, but if you spent any time around him, you know that TR’s pride is not found in a writing room or on a stage,” Davis said.
He continued, “His pride is found at home with his five beautiful kids and his lovely wife, Lauren. And I believe that pride and that love for them is what makes his music so impactful.”
Expressing gratitude for his family and for God, Rhett dedicated his induction to his fans. “Thank you so much for spending your hard-earned money to buy a t-shirt, a ticket, or a record,” he said.
“Thank you for bringing your families to the shows. That means more to me than anything in the world that you trust me enough to bring your family to my show. Thank you for singing these songs louder than I ever could. Thank you for letting my music become a small part of your life.”
He added, per Country Now, “This star may have my name on it, but it belongs to a heck of a lot of people. Thank y’all so much.”

Rhett also reflected on seeing his name alongside other music icons on the Music City Walk of Fame, saying he’s felt “undeserving” yet “super honoured.”
“Alan Jackson, Bobby Bare, Jimmy Buffett, Jimi Hendrix, Luke Combs, Dierks Bentley, Marty Stewart, I mean just all over the place, man,” he told the media.
“I think ‘undeserving’ is sort of a word that comes to my mind, because in some ways it does feel like I’ve been doing this for 15 years. In other ways it feels like I started doing it yesterday, and so I know that a lot of people get to vote on this stuff and so I just feel super honored to be the 113th. This is a very, very special day for me.”
The induction ceremony took place just one day before Rhett is set to open for Niall Horan at Nashville’s GEODIS Park. In a few weeks, he’ll join Luke Combs for back-to-back nights at Wembley Stadium.
In under 15 years, Thomas Rhett has racked up 25 Billboard #1 hit singles, won eight ACM Awards and two CMA Awards, and received five Grammy nominations, making him one of the most decorated artists in modern American country music.
