The 2025 Tamworth Country Music Festival has grown more, announcing changes to its annual parade.
The 53rd edition of the festival promises to travel down a new and improved route for participants to soak in the best views and entertainment. It is calling to local community groups, organisations, businesses, and fans to enjoy the fun with next year’s impressive artists.
After hosting a new-look parade this year that reimagined the traditional format, next year will change again with the new and improved route. Artists aren’t afraid to get involved, with artists including Troy Cassar-Daley, Graeme Connors, Wade Forster, Andrew Swift, James Johnston, Max Jackson, Luke O’Shea, and many others participating in the parade earlier this year.
The theme for the 2025 parade? While country music is bigger than ever right now, Tamworth has a simple message for country music fans, new and old: Country’s Always Been Cool In Tamworth!, referring to the hit Lainey Wilson song, Country’s Cool Again.
Participants are encouraged to showcase how cool country music is by dressing up and carrying props, banners, flags, and other relevant items. We only saw “relevant” because cash prizes will be given out to the Best Dancing or Entertainment Group, Commercial Organisation or Business, Community Group, Marching Band, and Sporting Group.
The 2025 parade will commence at 9 am on Saturday, 25 January, from Peel Street (south of Hill Street) before travelling north, turning left on White Street, left onto Kable Avenue, south along Kable Avenue, and concluding at the intersection of Kable Avenue and Hill Street. Those keen to participate can walk the one-kilometre route alongside small vehicles featuring country props.

Festival manager Barry Harley said of the parade's return, “The parade is a popular event where fans and community members can get up close to some of their favourite artists.
“It’s wonderful seeing Tamworth’s streets come alive for a colourful celebration of country music. The 2025 parade will be no different and I encourage buskers, venues, musicians, local businesses and community to get involved.”
In September, the Tamworth Country Music Festival revealed a huge second artist announcement that included Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Raechel Whitchurch, Brian Cadd, Karise Eden, Kirsty Lee Akers, Bryce Sainty, Chelsea Berman, Jade Gibson & Chloe Styler, Josh Setterfield, Andy Golledge, Y.O.G.A., and many more.
The new acts join a line-up that includes Suzi Quatro, Lee Kernaghan, John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley, Amber Lawrence, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Fanny Lumsden, Shane Nicholson, Travis Collins, Kasey Chambers, Ashleigh Dallas, Andrew Swift, and many more, announced in July.
