Get ready for some two-stepping this year at SXSW Sydney! On Friday 17th October SXSW Sydney and Countrytown are throwing a massive party, for the country curious and the best part is it’s completely free to attend.
The Tumbalong Honky Tonk will kick off from 5pm at Tumbalong Park with the good times rolling on into the night. The energy will be high with live country music from Australia’s very own Max Jackson, Lewis Love and Big Wheels, plus they will be joined by Canada’s The Washboard Union who will be making their Australian debut in October.
That’s not all, there will be line-dancing a plenty with Saddle Club taking leading the charge and teaching punters all the steps. So round up your mates and head on down to see some of the future stars of country music and enjoy a cold drink or two!

Max Jackson is Australia’s sweetheart of country music. Arguably at the top of her game right now, Jackson has a string of chart topping hits with powerhouse vocals and an enormous stage presence. Blending traditional country with modern songwriting and sonics, Jackson’s set will be one not to miss
