Something In The Orange hitmaker Zach Bryan landed in Brisbane, Australia today for an unannounced trip. With media speculating on new relationships following on from his split in October from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, Bryan was photographied with a new partner in New York first at a game at Madison Square Garden, then at Old Mates, an Australian-inspired pub recently opened by Andy Lee (of Hamish and Andy fame) with partners including Hugh Jackman.

The partner in the photos has been identified as Aussie woman Hannah Duncan, with both Bryan and Duncan’s Instagram stories confirming they both landed in Brisbane today.

Countrytown has reached out to Australian representatives of Bryan who were apparently unaware of the trip. The timing lands him in Brisbane just one week before Australia’s largest country music festival CMC Rocks, so even if the hitmaker is here for pleasure, there’s plenty for him to get amongst while he’s downunder.

After Bryan’s breakup with LaPaglia last year, he has had a busy time, teasing the release of Motorbreath, a film about the release of his “last major label album” and attacking online trolls for harrassment after his breakup. Speaking out on social media, he said:

"Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don't want to be attached to music anymore meanwhile you're calling my friends ugly and harassing them?"

Bryan is taking some time out from touring following a huge 2024, announcing that he would be pursuing a Masters degree in Paris. He reflected on his year, telling fans that he stopped off at his Grandmother’s grave site and thought about what was important in life after his rapid rise to fame over the last few years.

“Told her I quit touring because I got accepted to get my masters in Paris next year, I told her I was back in Oklahoma, told her about all my best friends in New York and all the nights we howled with the moon, told her about the immeasurable laughter my band and me have shared these last five years, all the calluses on my fingertips, every tear shed, told her about making it on The Rolling Stone and most importantly told her about porch swinging with my beautiful sister.”

No matter the relationship status of Bryan and Duncan, the pair is sure to enjoy the Brisbane weather, having just missed Cyclone Alfred by a couple of days. And guys, if you’re still around next week, you’re both welcome at the Countrytown Awards. We’ll pop you on the door just in case.
