Southbound xo have been forced to cancel their headline performance at Caloundra Country this Saturday night, July 1, at Norton Music Factory due to Missy Lancaster’s recent health setback. A rescheduled performance will be announced very soon.
The all-female country-rock superband captioned, “Our sincerest apologies to anyone who was planning to come and see us in Caloundra this weekend.🥹”
Sister trio Vixens Of Fall will now headline Caloundra Country alongside artists Good Will Remedy, Graham Howle, Ruby Gilbert, Briana Dinsdale and Dennis Comino.
Norton Music Factory updated fans of the line-up change via social media.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Southbound xo cannot perform this weekend because of health issues with lead singer Missy Lancaster. As much as we are all devastated, health and well-being comes first, and we wish Missy the speediest recovery. Get well soon Missy and we look forward to seeing you up on stage again very soon. Xo,” they wrote.
“One door closes, another opens! The show must go on they say,” the venue continued. “We have been working overtime to find an awesome replacement to fill the massive hole left by Southbound xo. Drumroll... 🥁 Please welcome the incredible Vixens of Fall... These sultry vixens will leave you breathless in more ways than one.”

CALOUNDRA COUNTRY UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Southbound xo cannot perform this weekend because of health...
Posted by Norton Music Factory on Sunday, June 25, 2023
Earlier this month, Lancaster announced she was undergoing a series of tests following a nasty fall that resulted in a concussion.
“Last week I had a seizure and smashed my head (have been doing it all my life, have just been able to manage it) and knocked myself out as I was getting in the shower,” Lancaster shared via social media. “This time I had a pretty bad whack to my head (the joys of concussion), but this time was a lot worse than I've had previously.”
She continued, “Starting all my tests tomorrow and currently unable to drive until I'm given the all clear of what’s happening in my brain and why it’s happening, which could be a few weeks or months… not convenient when my work is in lots of different parts of the state and country so I'm hoping we get some answers soon.
“Hopefully it just comes down to stress as it’s been a massive six months, but if I'm a little quiet on here it’s cos I'm not doing anything exciting other than cooking and watching tv and going to the beach (which I think is fun any who) and am just trying to avoid whatever happened last week from happening again by relaxing and staying as stress free as possible! … Lots of cooking and relaxing in the coming weeks, but I will keep you updated as to how it all goes!!”
“I’m in good spirits though, another story to add to the books 😂,” she concluded.
According to their official website, Southbound xo’s next tour date isn’t until August 19 for NQ’s Rock’n Country Festival in Mackay, Queensland.
