Newly released body cam footage of Morgan Wallen’s arrest has been released online and yes, it’s stirring up a lot of memories. Body cam and police cruiser videos from the April 2024 arrest show Wallen denying he threw a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s Bar in Nashville, before proceeding to call Eric Church to presumably try to get him off the hook.

Wallen hands the phone to the officer who can be seen saying “We have to treat him like everybody else”. In the video, Wallen repeatedly insists, “I don’t know” when asked about the situation, and his bodyguard also insists “he didn’t throw nothing.”

The incident which drew serious attention across the globe involved Wallen being charged with reckless endangerment after the chair reportedly landed just three feet from officers below.

Possibly the best part of the video is whilst in the squad car on the way to the station, Wallen and Thomas Rhett’s hit Mamaw’s House comes on the radio and Wallen earnestly perks up. TR’s [Thomas Rhett’s] one of the best, he’s one of the best dudes in the world, he definitely would not be getting arrested” he says sincerely.

Wallen ultimately pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour counts in December 2024, receiving a sentence of seven days in a DUI education centre and two years of supervised probation.

The footage being released doesn’t really change anything we didn’t already know, it definitely does put the moment back into the headlines and on everyone’ for you page.
