Music In The Mulga Festival Postponed Due To Major Flooding

Music In The Mulga, a festival located in Thargomindah in outback Queensland, has been postponed due to significant flooding in the area.

Festival organisers shared the bad news on social media on Tuesday (8 April), writing that recent flooding has caused “significant disruptions” in the area. New dates will be announced soon, but until then, organisers have noted that punters’ ongoing support means “everything” and that they are “deeply grateful.”

This year’s Music In The Mulga is stacked with local talent across country, rock, and alternative music genres. Acts included on the line-up include Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Adam Kilpatrick, The Wet Whistles, Terry Clark, Peter Chapman, Amanda Faulkner, Keith Dunn, and many more.

Throughout March and this month, the festival’s Facebook page has shared numerous posts about the devastating flooding in the region, which marks the worst flooding the area has seen in 50 years.
