Luke Combs has shared a heartwarming letter to his sons, Tex Lawrence and Beau Lee, ahead of the release of his new single, The Man He Sees In Me.
Set for release on Thursday (6 June), The Man He Sees In Me is an ode to his sons that references his less-than-proud moments and how his journey as a man has influenced fatherhood.
The letter reads: “To my boys,
“First and foremost, I will always love you, no matter what. With this song, I want you to know that even though I'm not perfect, I try my hardest every day to be the best version of myself for you both.
“I’ll make mistakes along the way, and some days you'll be sick of your old man, I'm sure, but dang, we'll have some fun, too. I can't wait to see what you both turn out to be like, and I hope someday, down the road, I get to watch you and your kids do the same.
“Love, Dad”.

It’s been a busy year for Combs, who recently contributed the lead track for the upcoming film Twisters with Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma. He’s also preparing to open a bar in Nashville and premiered the “dad” song, Plant A Seed, on social media back in January.
In August 2023, Nicole and Luke Combs welcomed their second baby boy, Beau Lee.
Sharing the news on social media, Nicole wrote, “8.15.2023—Beau Lee Combs. Welcome to the world. We couldn’t love you more.” Luke Combs was in Sydney, Australia, when Beau was born.
The caption sits alongside a video containing a Polaroid photo of baby Beau’s feet, a mini beanie, and a pacifier over some bed sheets. The reel was soundtracked by These Are The Days by Cody Asbury.
Beau is the little brother to Tex, born on 19 June 2022.
