Jon Pardi Reveals He’s Recording A Christmas Album As He Awaits The Birth Of His Daughter

Jon Pardi is working on a Christmas album. He shared the exciting news with CMT on Thursday, January 26 on the red carpet for the Musicians On Call Millions of Moments event in Nashville.

He said, “We’re really excited about it.”

"I did go through a lot more pop songs and other stuff," he continued. "I can't give it away because I was really detailed in what we're recording. But we're not singing Silent Night or O Holy Night or any boring ass Christmas songs."

Pardi added that he calls the project "Christmas with a drink."

"It's very up-tempo and fun," he said. "I feel like there's all kinds of weird Christmas songs that everybody does. It's a Merry Christmas party."

The album is due for release later this year, with Pardi due to go into the studio to record the festive project on February 2 and 3, while he awaits the birth of his first child, a baby girl, with his wife Summer. 

The couple revealed shared the exciting news last September, also revealing they'd been trying to expand their family since getting married in 2020. 

"After years of no luck and meeting with doctors who just didn't feel like the right fit, we decided to take a break, leave it in God's hands and just enjoy each other and this crazy, fun life we live together … and then surprise, we're pregnant!" Summer told PEOPLE.

“I’m ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi of three!” Pardi added. “I’m really excited to meet our baby and to have someone to ride around the ranch with.”

They later announced the sex of their unborn child in mid-October and earlier this month, they shared (at the ski themed baby shower, hosted by Katelyn Brown, wife of Kane Brown) that her name will be Presley Fawn Pardi.
