Sunset Bash is throwing a spotlight on fresh talent with the launch of its 2025 Big Break Competition, giving one emerging artist from New South Wales the opportunity to score a major festival debut and a serious career boost.
Last year’s competition winner Jamie Preston hails from South Western Sydney. “Winning the Big Break competition changed everything for me. I’ve played some great shows before, but getting to be part of a festival like the Sunset Bash was next-level. It gave me so much more confidence in what I’m doing, and I’m so grateful for the chance to share my music with a crowd like that.” says Preston.
The winner of this year’s competition will earn a paid performance slot at Sunset Bash 2025, taking the stage on Saturday, 20 September at The Backyard Panthers Penrith. It's a chance to perform alongside top-tier acts and showcase your sound to a buzzing crowd of music lovers.
But that’s not all, the Big Break prize also includes a promo package from Countrytown, one of Australia's leading country music media outlets. The winner will receive a dedicated article or interview feature, plus social media promotion to help take their visibility to the next level.
To top it off, the winning artist will score a Wilde Gypsy outfit package valued at $350, featuring a custom rancher or cowboy hat from the Wilde Gypsy or Wilde Country range, a hoodie, T-shirt, trucker cap, and accessories - the ultimate festival-ready fit.
