We can’t help but wonder if the collaboration between the pair Kane Brown discussed earlier this year will happen—perhaps live on stage?

More Jelly Roll More Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll and Kane Brown have been announced as the first headliners of this year’s highly anticipated New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, which will be held in downtown Nashville and air on CBS.

New Year’s Eve Live, a five-hour annual star-studded country music celebration, will return to the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park this December. Both headliners will perform live on the CBS special on Tuesday, 31 December (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:30 PM, ET/PT).

While many in the US will be watching the celebrations live on CBS, those spending the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Nashville will get to experience the show for free from Bicentennial Park’s main stage.

At the time of writing, just Jelly Roll and Kane Brown have been announced as the first headliners for this year’s event, but organisers promise an “all-star line-up of powerful back-to-back performances across multiple time zones, live from Music City.”

This year’s event follows last year’s extravaganza, which was the highest-rated country music program of 2023.

Additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks and months. You can keep up with more information as it arrives on the Paramount Press Express and CBS profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

With the announcement of this year’s headliners, we can’t help but wonder if the collaboration between the pair that Kane Brown discussed earlier this year will eventuate—perhaps live on stage?

In June, Kane Brown revealed that he and Jelly Roll had been working on a “powerful” new collaboration.

“I have a song with Jelly Roll, so that’s really cool,” Brown said. Digging into the song’s themes, he continued, “It’s talking about depression and, you know, you could have everything in the world, but as long as you don’t talk to someone about it, you’re still gonna go through those things.”

While Brown didn’t reveal when the song would be released, he said it was a “very powerful song” before adding, “I’m blessed to have Jelly on it because he goes through the same thing.”
