Just a week after releasing a new collaborative track with producer and DJ Marshmello, Kane Brown is teasing a new collab with someone in country music: Jelly Roll.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Brown hinted at a new song with the Need A Favor hitmaker, revealing that their song will be a “powerful” song about depression.
“I have a song with Jelly Roll, so that’s really cool,” Brown said. Digging into the song’s themes, he continued, “It’s talking about depression and, you know, you could have everything in the world, but as long as you don’t talk to someone about it, you’re still gonna go through those things.”
While Brown didn’t reveal when the song would be released, he did say that it’s a “very powerful song” before he added, “I’m blessed to have Jelly on it because he goes through the same thing.”
Last month, Jelly Roll premiered the emotional new song, I Am Not OK, on the finale of this year’s season of The Voice.
A vulnerable song that explores the depths of mental health issues, I Am Not OK is moving and will likely provide a balm for any listeners struggling with the themes it explores. Jelly Roll sings about having the devil on his back, voices in his head, and wondering if he'd be better off lying in the dirt.

Back in 2021, Jelly Roll opened up about his experience with depression on Instagram.
“The truth is I struggle with severe depression — I’ve struggled with it my whole life,” he wrote in the lengthy caption.
“I know I go through spells where I post a lot on social media and I release a lot of music, then I have moments where I don’t even have the desire or confidence to respond to a text message more or less make a post, release a song or shoot a video. When I was younger, I was diagnosed with manic depression.”
He also wrote that he’s always been afraid of making such a personal post but divulged that he decided to open up because he felt the need to be honest and transparent with his fans.
“It’s my public vow to start being more transparent, and I hope that maybe you all will help me stay accountable for seeking help and fighting this demon,” he wrote. “And maybe someone out there feels the way I do — maybe you can give me some pointers.”
Earlier this year, Kane Brown shared an adorable gender reveal video. His wife, Katelyn, is expecting their third child.
That video followed the Brown family’s surprise announcement on Christmas Day, in which they revealed that Katelyn was pregnant. In the cheeky caption, Brown wrote, “Last Christmas of 4 🎄❤️ Merry Christmas everyone!!”
