Following a stellar sold-out event in March this year, Australia’s leading country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD, has revealed the dates for the March 2024 instalment. 

Between Friday 15 and Sunday 17 March 2024, CMC Rocks QLD will return to Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich for yet another sensational event helmed by the world’s hottest international and local country music superstars.  

Famous for delivering an unrivalled live music experience, CMC Rocks QLD is entering its 17th year and will continue to set country spirits soaring. With global chart-topper Morgan Wallen headlining this year’s event alongside Zac Brown Band and Kip Moore, you can bet that 2024 will once again deliver the goods.

Chairman of Chugg Entertainment, Michael Chugg said, “We know March is a highlight of the year for our CMC Rocks community, it is for us too. We can’t wait to get back out to Ipswich next year, and you better believe we’ll be turning the heat up again in 2024!”

Ipswich Mayor, Teresa Harding said the city was excited to once again welcome back CMC Rocks QLD, one of Ipswich’s major events that gives a huge boost to the region.  

“CMC Rocks QLD is always an incredible festival, and we are thrilled to welcome it back and be a major sponsor of the event again,” Mayor Harding said. “Ipswich has hosted the festival since 2015 and since then we’ve seen the reputation and popularity of the event grow and grow, helping to put the city on the map and contributing about $11 million to our local economy each year.”

Tourism Minister, Stirling Hinchliffe said CMC Rocks had grown exponentially since relocating to Queensland in 2015.

“Country music followers travel from around the nation to Willowbank for CMC Rocks. More than 23,000 fans experienced the magic of CMC Rocks last year and generated a whopping $11 million for the visitor economy,” Hinchliffe said. “Together with accommodation, hospitality and tourism operations, we’re excited to include CMC Rocks on our It’s Live! In Queensland events calendar again in 2024. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with organisers to bring the world’s best country music talent to Queensland in the years ahead.”

CMC Rocks QLD continues to cement its place as Australia’s most significant country music event through delivering an incomparable line-up (Luke Combs, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, The Chicks… the list goes on), unique on-ground festival experience and big country spirit year on year.

From launching new bars and activities including Big Time Charlie’s and the Honky Tonk Stomp line dancing, to welcoming back old favourites with the Songwriters Show, Speed Dating, Live Band Karaoke and more, CMC Rocks is an annual highlight for the country community like nothing else!  

The Queensland Government is proud to support CMC Rocks QLD through Tourism and Events Queensland as part of the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar, showcasing Australia’s best live events in Australia’s best destinations.
