Casey Barnes has unveiled his latest single, the ultra-catchy, optimistic Never Give Up On A Good Time.
Sharing a music video filmed with country music fans at last week’s Gympie Music Muster, Barnes revealed that Never Give Up On A Good Time “is all about enjoying life & having a good time”. You can watch the music video (and try to spot yourself) below.
“We had an absolute blast shooting the music video last Friday [25 August] at the Gympie Music Muster,” Barnes wrote in a social media post this morning. “You guys were the BEST crowd and if you were there, chances are you might just be in the clip… see if you can spot yourself!”
The new music video was created thanks to Jay Seeney Blacklist Productions, who Barnes credited for putting the clip together.
Last week, Casey Barnes reached #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 with his July single, Boys Like Me. The recent number is Barnes’ second single from his upcoming follow-up album to 2022’s Light It Up, with the new album scheduled for release in early 2024.
“This is a really special and important song highlighting a story that I know so many can relate to,” Barnes commented about Boys Like Me in a recent press release. “Growing up with good mates, ones you’ve known since you were kids and are still there by your side today through thick and thin. The ones that’ll share a beer on a Friday night but will also be the first there when you’re going through tough times.

“More than ever this song is about how important the simple things in life are, not material possessions, it’s about making the most of every day and treasuring the ones you love.”
Earlier this month, Barnes and fellow Australian country music royalty Lee Kernaghan were added as judges for next month’s Groundwater Country Music Festival KIX-Start program.
“I'm really excited to be working with Lee Kernaghan, Casey Barnes and our expert judging panel to find Australia’s next rising star of country,” KIX Content Director and KIX-Start judge Justin Thomson said in a statement.
The winner of the KIX-Start program will score $30,000 worth of music industry expert tools, including performing at this year’s Groundwater Country Music Festival, open for Kernaghan on his next national headline tour, be the recipient of an exclusive, one-on-one songwriting masterclass with Phil Barton, record a single with Rod McCormack at Music Cellar Studios, win a PR package from Varrasso PR, mentoring from Casey Barnes, a promotion and distribution deal from Play MPE, radio support from KIX Country, a live touring workshop with Dan Biddle and Wheelhouse Agency, and more.
