More Arlo McKinley More Arlo McKinley

Sadly, Kentucky's Ian Noe has had to pull out of what was to be his first Australian tour, a co-headliner with fellow young Southern singer-songwriter, Alabama's Early James

In a like-for-like swap, Early James will now be joined on tour with another first-time Australian tourist and up and coming singer-writer, Cincinatti-based Arlo McKinley, who was the last artist signed by the late John Prine to his Oh Boy Records label.

Ian Noe's management has issued the following statement: "Due to personal health issues, Ian unfortunately is unable to get to Australia for his March dates. These issues have forced him to cancel or reschedule significant shows in the USA also. Ian would dearly love to eventually get to Australia, but at this time, it makes the most sense to cancel his involvement in the tour. We’ll revisit this as soon as we can. The team and Ian appreciate patience and understanding."

While naturally saddened to hear of Ian's health issues, the pairing of McKinley and James promises a night of grit, honesty, colour and vibration.

Both are playing Port Fairy Folk Festival (March 11-12) and Blue Mountains Folk Festival (March 18-19) as well as co-headlining club shows in Eltham (Wednesday, March 8), Brisbane (March 9), Melbourne (Tuesday, March 14) and Sydney (March 16).

Refunds are available for 2 weeks until February 8, should you not like to spend the musical evening with Arlo and Early. Ticket buyers will also be contacted by the relevant ticket agencies. For more information and ticket details, head to lovepolice.com.au.
