Country Music Cocktails – The Next Wave is back for 2025, and if you're an emerging country act ready to step into the spotlight, now’s your time. Expressions of Interest are officially open for this dynamic industry showcase, happening Saturday, October 18 at Groundwater Country Music Festival.

Proudly presented by Australian Bitters Co., the event is known for discovering “next wave” talent. Think artists who are bubbling just beneath the mainstream, gearing up to break onto the national country music circuit. This year’s showcase will again take place at the beloved Den Devine Restaurant & Music Hall, delivering a heady mix of live music, sharp banter, and festival vibes.

Hosted by long-time MC Ben Sorensen and ARIA-chart topper Kristy Davis, the showcase offers emerging solo acts, duos, and bands the chance to perform in front of an audience of country fans, media, and music industry insiders.

To apply, artists must have released at least two original songs and be ready to perform a 15–20-minute set of mostly original material. Major label signees need not apply - this one’s for the indies.

Applications close Monday, September 22, 2025. For details and eligibility, see below.
