Fresh off performances at CMA Fest and Americana Fest, rising Aussie country artist Tyla Rodrigues is leaning into her lighthearted fun side with the release of her dreamy new single By The Time It’s Over.
At just 21, Rodrigues is quickly carving out a space for herself in the country scene both locally and abroad. Her soulful vocals and playful yet earnest storytelling, as well as her incredible live performances have already earned her slots at some of the genre’s biggest festivals.
The music video captures tender and sweet moments between the two lovebirds, from laughing together in the kitchen to slow dancing in the garden and simply soaking up each other’s presence. Shot with a touch of nostalgic grain, the visuals evoke the timeless feel of an old-school romance, full of warmth, softness, and simplicity. It’s dreamy, beautifully intimate, and perfectly mirrors the song’s playful yet heartfelt tone.
By The Time It’s Over was written by Rodrigues alongside Nashville-based Aussie hitmakers Jesse and Jordan Dozzi, and produced by Jared Adlam. The song taps into the more flirty, carefree side of Rodrigues. It’s a breezy, summer-ready dreamy anthem that captures the spark of a night where everything just clicks.
“By the Time It’s Over is a playful take on that spark when the night, the music, and the chemistry all align,” Rodrigues shares. “It leans into the fun, flirty and cheeky side of country storytelling. A reminder that sometimes the best connections happen when you just let the night take the lead.”
The track follows the success of her debut EP Upon Reflection, released in 2024, which racked up nearly 1 million streams and cemented Rodrigues as one to watch.
