Travis Tritt’s Daughter Drops Single

Travis Tritt’s daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt, is also a country singer. Last week, the American artist dropped her latest single, Texas Hold Him, a beautiful, strong ballad where she gets to showcase her stunning voice.

“I am beyond thrilled to share ‘Texas Hold Him’ with the world,” she said in a statement, per Substream Magazine. “This song holds a special place in my heart as it beautifully captures the emotions and challenges of moving forward while leaving a piece of your heart behind.

Like her father, Tyler Reese Tritt makes a nostalgic kind of country music that old-school fans can easily latch on to. Getting her start at just 14 years old, Tyler recorded the Don Henley and Patty Smyth duet, Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough, with her father in 2012, which subsequently went viral on YouTube.

Since emerging onto the country music scene, Tyler Reese Tritt released her debut single, Perfect, in 2017, followed by the more recent singles, Porch Light and now Texas Hold Him. After opening for her father, Sheryl Crow and Runaway June, she’s found her feet as a live performer, even embarking on solo headline dates this August. You can listen to Texas Hold Him below.

In October 2021, Travis Tritt made headlines when he firmly took a stand against venues that required proof of Covid-19 vaccination, mask mandates or testing. He cancelled four shows in October and November that year.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated,” Tritt said in a statement. “Any show I have booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being cancelled immediately.”

He continued, “This is a sacrifice that I’m willing to make to stand up for the freedoms that generations of Americans have enjoyed for their entire lifetimes. There are plenty of promoters and venues around the country that appreciate fans and the freedom of choice in this great country, and those are the promoters and venues that I will be supporting.”
